The insecure men discussed in this article are not controlling because of inner insecurity. The insecure men in this article are not hurtful but are insecure and dependent. Insecure guys have little confidence around women and possible low self esteem. They find it hard to trust. Unlike the controlling or abusive man, they do not try to control you in order to feel good about themselves. Insecure guys are more on the shy, passive side. The difference between an abusive relationship and an insecure relationship is the lack of control, abusive behaviour and the man wanting his own way all the time. Insecure men can handle not having their own way in a mature manner. Insecure men feel vulnerable where a controlling or abusive man feels powerless and inadequate. Insecure men do not tell you what to wear or insist that you spend all your time with them. They do feel as though other guys might take you away, but they turn how they feel inward.

Insecure men can change, which is unlike controlling or abusive men. They need to learn how to be confident and how to boost their self esteem. By nurturing the insecure relationship you might help boost his confidence and self esteem. If you feel as though you are constantly nurturing his insecurities, you might start to feel drained and tired of the relationship. This is when insecure men become boring and you start to lose interest. Insecure men must realize that being insecure is okay, but after a few months of trying to boost their self esteem and self confidence unsuccessfully, is when women start to lose interest in the relationship. After a few months, there should not be any reason to feel as though she will leave you because if she wanted to, she would have done so already. Insecure men can start to bring you down if they do not perk up after a few months. This can be depressing and it is no wonder why women choose not to stay.

Insecure guys feel as though nobody loves them or that they are not good enough in all areas of their life such as work, love, friendships. Insecure men make the insecure relationship. They were already insecure before you met them and you did not do anything to make them insecure.

Insecure guys can have a negative outlook on life. Eventually this becomes depressing because insecure guys refuse to see the good in anything. You might find that you start thinking negative too. If you think negative, you will draw negative energy into your life. If you think positive, you will draw positive energy. Insecure men only draw negative energy this is why it appears that nothing goes right in their lives. Some insecure men feel comfortable thinking negative and possible will never change in order to see the best in any situation or the good things they have accomplished.

Insecure relationships are not healthy especially if both people involved are insecure. You will find that because of your insecurities that you only spend time with each other. You rarely see friends and family. When you come across a situation where you need them, they may not be there for you because of how you isolated yourself. It is unhealthy to be in an insecure relationship because you need time away from each other. You need time on your own and to go out on your own with your friends. But since the fear of rejection is strong, you get too comfortable only hanging out with each other and you miss what else life has to offer. When you realize that you wasted time in an insecure relationship it could build resentment within the relationship. Therefore the insecure relationship will end even though you spent so much time trying to keep it alive
