You only have a few minutes to look good, answer questions, ask questions, smile, act interested, and leave a good impression so the person will remember you. This is not as easy as it sounds but you should keep these speed dating tips in mind and you'll be getting all the dates in no time.

Do take time in choosing what to wear
You don't have to dress flamboyantly and expensively. Just keep it clean and presentable. Be well-groomed. Also, don't wear too much cologne!

Do smile and look approachable
Most ladies like it when a guy smiles, so you should give them the impression that you are having a good time. By showing your date that you appreciate them, they will be more willing to open up to you because they feel special. Make yourself stand out by exuding a positive vibe. Try to keep it natural and avoid putting on a fake grin.

You should use your body language and flirt
Studies have shown that communication is 60% visual and 40% verbal, so you should let your body do the talking. You must understand body language and improve your body talk to master the art of flirting. One simple move you can try is to catch someone's eye and hold their gaze for just a second. Then look away coyly, and look again but this time with a gleam in your eye and a playful smile.

They might take a lot of time to answer, and before you know it, your time is up. Do be careful what you eat, especially if food is being served during the dating
Will your date really want to see you clumsily twirl your pasta or noisily gorge noodles during the date? Worse, will he/she want to see you sweat uncomfortably because of some spicy food? Stick to simple food in small servings that you can easily take in one bite.

Now, for the don't part.

Don't ever tell lies
Although it may seem like a good idea to pretend to be someone you are not but, how long can you keep on pretending to be a restaurateur or an art critic?

Don't talk blatantly on controversial topics
Remember, it's best to stick to light and feel-good topics. Nobody would want to hear about your opinion on Israel's conduct in Palestine during speed dating.

Don't give out personal contact details during the date
It's best to keep your personal information to yourself to protect your identity. If you would like to keep in touch, exchange cell phone numbers or email addresses.
